PlantUML Editor with AI
Before the end of the year of 2025, I released PlantUML Editor. Today, there are many features added to the PlantUML Editor:
- Share as URL: Share the PlantUML diagram to anyone without back-end needed.
- Back-End Renderer: An alternative to render the PlantUML using a back-end.
- Custom Tabs: You can work with many web browser tabs. But, one web browser tab to work with many diagrams is great.
- Fixed the
Ctrl+Fto find syntaxes. When you pressed it, it returns to the original Find feature of the web browser.
Today, I released one of the killing feature that you might like it, AI Generation, and it is free.
Sometimes, we already have something in mind to draw as a diagram, right? But since PlantUML starts with code and some newcomers aren't familiar with the tool, this feature is here to help.
Not just to help unfamiliar users, the AI Generation feature could be our starting point. AI could be your partner for brainstorming (designing is a part of brainstorming), and we get it directly to the PlantUML Editor. No need for other web browser tabs to open AI chat boxes.
Do you have broken syntax? AI can help, and the AI-generated PlantUML here will not have broken syntax. It is even more powerful than using a PlantUML MCP (Model Context Protocol).
It is free, but not for anonymous users. It is to prevent wasting AI usage. You need to sign in. I truly respect users' data. The PlantUML Editor doesn't even save your emails because there is no need; it is only to count the number of requests that you make to prevent abuse and to make this service better in the future.
